A Louisiana 911 dispatcher is at the moment on the run after authorities in New Orleans declare she allegedly fielded a number of emergency calls after which hung up on folks.

“Working as a 911 operator with the Orleans Parish Communications District on the time, she is needed for allegedly disconnecting 911 calls intentionally with out acquiring obligatory emergency data or relaying such emergencies to the opposite dispatchers for help,” the New Orleans Police Division mentioned in a press launch. “The report was taken on August 23, 2021.”

KATC reports Stephens was fired from her job over her alleged negligence in late August.

In response to the Times-Picayune, the communication district allegedly observed one thing odd about cellphone calls acquired throughout Stephens’ shifts on August 20 and 21. These issues have been uncovered throughout an investigation into the standard of a random sampling of calls.
